Segwit2X, old-new bitcoin hardfork, when block № 501451 will be mined, is planned for December 28, 2017. This event is already called a Christmas present for the entire crypto-community.
Segwit2X project was suspended about a month and a half ago. A team of developers, calling themselves “experienced”, resumed the activity based on the hard fork launch, as the project official website announces.
Segwit2X, was expected in mid-November. The team of the project developers intend to launch it, as it is stated on the website. The developers add, that the futures trading on Segwit2X hardfork on some exchanges, including HitBTC, continues.
“Commission and transaction speed within the Bitcoin network reached inconceivable values. In the last month, the average commission of the network was 15-20 US dollars, and the confirmation rate could reach several days. It is simply impossible to use it as a means of payment”, the project description says.
Besides, all bitcoin holders are promised to receive as a reward for “their commitment to progress” not only B2X in the ratio of 1 to 1, but also a proportional number of bitcoins, mined by the anonymous network creator Satoshi Nakamoto during the first year of its existence.
According to the project website, the project founder is Jaap Terlouw. The project is said to be aiming at the creation of a "really anonymous and instant bitcoin."
