Eurozone's and EU's GDPs grew 0.6% in fourth quarter 2017 as compared with the previous period. In third quarter 2017, Eurozone's and EU's GDPs grew 0.7%, according to Eurostat's preliminary data.
At the same time, Eurozone's GDP and EU's GDPs grew 2.7% and 2.6%, respectively, over this period year-on-year. As the statistics agency reports, Eurozone's GDP and EU's GDPs grew 2.5% following last year's results.
The EU Commission's autumn report predicted a 2.2% rise for Eurozone's GDP in 2017, which would have been the fastest growth rate over the last decade. EU's GDP was expected to grow 2.3%.
The EU Commission's forecast is that Eurozone's and EU's economies will grow 2.1% in 2018 and slow down 1.9% in 2019.
