China’s new import duties on 128 US goods take effect on Monday, according to Chinese Commerce ministry
Chinese Commerce ministry published the list US goods that will be affected by new tariffs. It is considered to affect more than $3 billion in U.S. exports to the country.
China will increase import duties from 15% to 25% on the U.S. frozen pork, grape wine, some fruit and nuts. This measures are taken in response to the U.S. increased tariffs in China’s imports of steel and aluminum.
The U.S. president Donald Trump earlier announced his intention to raise the import duties on China’s goods worth over $50 billion in total, having signed the Presidential Memorandum Targeting China's Economic Aggression
