January Consumer Price Index release is due at 15:00 (GMT+2) in Germany. It is the main indicator of inflation in the country, which determines the change in the level of retail prices for a certain “basket” of goods and services, which includes food, transport, utilities, health care and so on. It is predicted that the MoM indicator will be negative for the first time since last February year (–0.9%), while the YoY indicator will decrease from 1.7% to 1.6%. The implementation of the forecasts will affect EUR negatively.
