Capacity Utilization Rate remained unchanged at the level of 78.1% in September. Industrial production fell to 0.3% in September from 0.4% a month earlier, which coincided with forecasts. JOLTs Job Openings number rose to 7.136M in August from 7.077M a month earlier. Macroeconomic releases that can affect USD today include the data on Housing Starts (14:30 GMT+2), as well as the publication of the FOMC meeting minutes.

EUR/USD

The pair EUR/USD dropped to 1.1550 during the Asian session. Today, investors will pay attention to statistics on the Consumer Price Index in the euro area. On a monthly basis the indicator is expected to grow to 0.5% in September from 0.2% a month earlier. YoY, the indicator may remain unchanged at the level of 2.1%.

GBP/USD

Quotes of the pair GBP/USD decreased to 1.3174 on the background of the strengthening of USD. Today, traders are waiting for data on the consumer price index in the UK. On an annual basis, the indicator is expected to decline to 2.6% in September from 2.7% a month earlier. On a monthly basis, the indicator is expected to fall to 0.2% in September from 0.7% a month earlier. If the forecast proves right, the pound may fall under pressure.

USD/JPY

Quotes of USD/JPY fell to the area of the level of 112.20. Due to the absence of macroeconomic releases from Japan, the movement of the pair's exchange rate will be affected by US statistics.

AUD/USD

Yesterday, the pair AUD/USD demonstrated ambiguous dynamics. Currently, the instrument has consolidated at 0.7137.

Gold

Due to the general strengthening of USD, gold quotations decreased to 1222.66.
