Pepsico Inc - the largest producer of soft beverages, juices, snacks and other food products. In 1898 a pharmacist Caleb Bradham invented a beverage similar to cola and called it Pepsi-Cola. A few years later, in 1903, Bradham headed his own beverage producing company and called it Pepsi-Cola Company. 1921 was marked by a crisis in the U.S. sugar market, which negatively influenced the company's performance; its income significantly reduced and the company was declared bankrupt. In 1928 it became state-owned and got the name National Pepsi-Cola Company. Four years later, Charles Guth, heading a candy manufacturing business Loft Inc. at that time, purchased the company and returned the original trademark name, Pepsi-Cola Company. In 1965, Pepsico Inc appeared as a merger of Тhe Pepsi Cola Company and a crisps producer in Dallas, Frito-Lay. Pepsi-Cola Company changed its name to PepsiCo Inc.
Today it includes Lipton, Mountain Dew, Mirinda, Cheetos, KFC, Chevys, Tropicana and other brands. Pepsico Inc is headquartered in New-York, the USA. About 99% of its shares are publicly traded. They are traded on NYSE stock exchange and have ticker #РЕР. According to yearly accounting of the company, its financial performance, that is revenues, net profits, earnings per share, is constantly increasing. More than a half of company’s revenues come from the sales of PepsiCo products in the USA, about 20% of sales are in Great Britain, Canada, Russia, Basil and Mexico.
